    1. Hi Wendy, I am so sorry to hear about your son. It is awful to hear such devastating stories from anyone, but particularly when they involve someone so young. I am the mum of two boys, aged 18 and 14 and I cannot imagine how awful this must have been for you all. My best wishes are with you all. I suffered a SAH in January of this year and feared that I was about to leave my two sons behind, Motherless. I am so grateful to have survived, but my biggest concern now is the fear that either of my sons may be genetically pre-disposed and I can only hope and prey that they will not be affected. Unfortunately, there is not enough awareness about this condition, which is why Lisa and myself have embarked upon this ‘Gold Post Box Challenge.’ However, our own personal stories are not enough to get the publicity and awareness that we need. Therefore, I wonder if you could help us by getting involved in our Gold Post Box Challenge? We are asking other survivors and those family members affected by the condition if they can help us, by writing a letter to their local MP, explaining their own personal stories of Brain Aneurysms, AVM and SAH and explaining why more awareness about this condition is vital. We are then asking if you can go to your own most local Gold Post Box to post the letter – and from there take a photograph of yourself (and your family) which we would then like you to post on our Facebook page, along with details of your ‘story’ and why you would like more awareness. Would this be possible? It will really help us in our bid to raise more national awareness.
